Gorgeous. Rich. Amber-toned. Sensuous, Shimmering. Multi-layered. Just a few of the words you could use to describe this splendid album, which the two players have fashioned from trumpets, gongs, singing bowls, loops, tapes and FX units. The result is very Hassell-esque set of improvised sound collages, rather like a less austere, sunnier cersion of Thomas Koner's early 1990's work (Nunatak Gongamur, Teimo and others) Jazzwise Magazine

In March 2025 the duo album Beyond The Treeline was released by Elsdon Music, with Julie Walkington playing gongs and percussion and Jim playing trumpet, flugelhorn and electronics. It was an entirely improvised album recorded in one day by Greg Elsdon
